Apart from the friends I've abandoned for months, of course, and the plastering and painting and fixing and mending and tidying.
Apart from that.
Still, I intend to have fun this holiday time, and also to do some exercise, as well as getting some things ticked off my house-buttling To Do list.
Already I could feel my mind slowing down.
I'm trying to make good use of this time off. There are things I want to do in the house, of course, and I'm looking forward to having time and head space to get on with them. There are friends I've neglected who I want to see, and there is the small matter of a triathlon in nine weeks, and a half marathon the week after.
I've a teensy plan (which I may not stick to) to pop in here every day with a few words and maybe a picture or two, because I like to keep track and I want to make sure my holiday doesn't vanish in a haze of food shopping and hoovering.
Right now I'm off out for a run, and tonight some friends are making us tea. I'll report back tomorrow...
